Network & routing

What makes the routing premium?+

We buy the premium path on each carrier: CTGNet (formerly CN2 GIA) on China Telecom, CUP (AS9929 / AS10099) on China Unicom, and CMIN2 (AS58807) on China Mobile. These routes stay fast and stable through evening peak, when cheaper routes get congested.

Do all three carriers get premium routing?+

Yes. China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile each get their own optimized path.

Where are the servers located?+

In Tokyo, Japan and Singapore. Both get the same three-network routing to mainland China, and you choose where to deploy at checkout.

Tokyo or Singapore: which is better?+

It depends on where your users are. Test latency from Tokyo and Singapore with our Looking Glass, then go with whichever is faster.

Can I test the route myself?+

Yes. Run a ping, traceroute, or BGP lookup from Tokyo or Singapore with our Looking Glass before you order.

Servers & specs

What operating systems can I install?+

Debian, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, or AlmaLinux. Every server runs on KVM with full root access. We don’t offer Windows.

Can I reinstall the OS or access a console?+

Yes. You can reinstall the OS and open a VNC console yourself from the control panel, any time.

What IP addresses are included?+

One dedicated IPv4 address and a /64 IPv6 block per server.

Can I add more IPv4 addresses?+

On annual billing, extra IPv4 addresses are $12 each per year. If you’re not on an annual plan yet, open a ticket to switch first.

How fast is setup?+

Instant. Servers are set up automatically once your payment goes through.

Do you take backups, and can I restore them?+

Every plan includes automatic daily backups, kept for 4 weeks. You can restore any of them yourself from the control panel.

What happens if I exceed my monthly bandwidth?+

Your port drops to 1 Mbps for the rest of the billing cycle, then returns to full speed when it resets.

Are the servers managed?+

No. All VPS are unmanaged: you get full root and run the server yourself. If you want us to install software or maintain the system, that’s $100 per hour.

Is there an uptime guarantee?+

We target 99.9% availability.

Plans & billing

Which billing cycles do you offer?+

Monthly, 3-month, 6-month, annual, and 2-year terms.

Can I upgrade or downgrade later?+

To move from Premium to Ultra or Max, open a support ticket; it isn’t self-service yet. You can’t downgrade once upgraded.

Which payment methods do you accept?+

Credit and debit cards, PayPal, Alipay, and WeChat Pay.

Can I get a refund?+

Within 14 days of purchase, as long as you’ve used under 10 GB of bandwidth, your IP isn’t blacklisted, and you haven’t broken our Acceptable Use Policy.

Policies & support

What’s allowed, and what isn’t?+

You can run almost anything legitimate. Prohibited uses include spam, illegal content, intellectual-property infringement, network attacks, adult content, and public Tor / open / anonymous proxies. See the Acceptable Use Policy for the full list.

Can I resell Riven Cloud VPS?+

Yes, reselling is allowed. As a reseller, you’re responsible for your customers’ conduct and need to make sure they follow our Acceptable Use Policy.

How do I get support?+

Open a ticket from the client area. We reply within 24 hours on business days.

Do you help migrate from another provider?+

We don’t offer migration help. Since servers are unmanaged, you have full root to move your data over yourself.
